The 2nd round of the Harris Cup takes place with 16 teams still left in the competition, some playing their first game in the competition.
Sir John Bayley are guaranteed to have one team in the Quarter Finals, their Premier League side take on their A side. Their B side are also still in, and take on Mid Shropshire Division One Leaders Sinclair A aiming to cause a big upset. Madeley CC A would also have to cause a monumental upset against Wrockwardine Wood Premier League team if they were to progress. Another big shock would be Division Three side Charlton defeating 2023 winners Highley, but do have a 43 shot advantage. Donnington Wood A will also aim to spring a shock against the Horsehay Premier League team who are currently bottom of that league. Newport A take on Hadley USC A with just one chalk separating them based on last season’s final positions, but the gap is much greater this season. Two Premier League teams meet as 2023 runners up Bylet play 2024 Semi Finalists Wem USC, while Horsehay A take on Allscott Heath A in the last tie of the round.
All players must have played at least one league game to be eligible.
