Champion of Champions

The Mid Shropshire Champion of Champions 2026 will take place for the first time on Saturday 3rd October at 10am. 

This will take place on both greens at Wrockwardine Wood, with the last 8 being on the old green in front of the club.

This will feature 12 competition winners, 10 league averages winners and the 26 clubs of the league. 

We are asking clubs to nominate a player by Monday 28th September to competitions secretary Rob Burroughs. This will need to be someone who has won your averages in any of the Mid Shropshire leagues or someone who has won a club competition (ie champion of the green, merit, rose bowl etc) 

We are asking each club to pay £10 for their entry. Each competition winner (excluding the Under 15, Under 18 and Junior Handicap winners which will be paid by the league) will pay £10 entry. Each of the League Averages will pay £5 entry. There will also be sponsorship available for each of the players at £10 per player. 

This will hopefully mean a prize pot of around £1,000 – however, it does depend if there are double qualifiers. We will also look for a sponsor for this competition. 

Invitations will be sent out this week to those who have already qualified.
