Final:

Trench A won a thriller of a Harris Shield final by just 2 chalks against Wrockwardine Wood B.

It was level pegging after the front fours, both teams having a 14 and 17 winner. But Jamie Millman won 8 at number 5 for Trench to earn himself the Player of the Match, but Wrockwardine hit back with 3 winners to lead by 6 going into the back 2. Dave Clayton won 5 for Trench at number 9 to put them 10 up, however Jack Morgan led Al Jarvis 12-4 at number 10 for Wrockwardine. Al got back to 12-10 down and be within 2 of victory and then one of victory at 14-11. However Jack hit back to lead 19-11 but Al managed to beat Jack’s 2 foot lead and win the game for Trench.

Semi Finals:

Trench reached their first Harris Shield final after beating Horsehay A easily by 68 overall. They won by 39 at home, Al Jarvis best of a full house 4. They also won by 13 away, Jamie Millman best winner 6.

Quarter Finals:

Horsehay A defeated Newport A by just four shots in the Quarter Finals of the Harris Shield. They won by 18 at home, Rob Clarke best winner 3, and lost by 12 away, Jack Clayton best winner 16. They will now play Trench A who got past Bowring A by 7 shots. They won by 19 at home, Carleen Doody-Millington best winner 13, and lost by 14 away, Josh Wall best winner 11. Madeley CC A avoided an upset against Charlton A after winning by 35. They won by 52 at home, Sue Mumford best winner 4, and by 25 away, Rob Beddows and Kevin Lavelley best winners 6. Wrockwardine Wood B upset their Division One opponents Sir John Bayley B by 25 to reach the Semi Finals of the Harris Shield. They won by 23 at home, Patrick Evans (Jnr) best winner 6, and drew away, Sam Price best winner 9.

Prelims:

There were no shocks as all the Division One teams progressed. The closest game was between Sir John Bayley B and Bowring B which the Division One side won by 6. They won by 39 at home, Pat Minton best winner 5, and lost by 11 away, Del McKenzie and Salvatori Farruggio the winners there 10. Bowring’s A team won though after defeating Horsehay B by 33. They won by 32 at home, Brian Jarvis best winner 8, and by 9 away, Nick Mullinder best winner 9. Horsehay A won though after getting past Allscott Heath A by 34, winning by 49 at home, Dave Brown best winner 8, and losing by 3 away, Phil Wain best winner 14. Newport A had the biggest win of the night taking all 10 winners against Sir John Bayley C. They won by 75 at home, Alan Davidson best winner 2, and by 53 away, Dale Rudrum best winner 8, winning by 60 overall. Trench A edged out St Georges A by just 3 chalks. They won by 24 at home, Paul Osbourne best winner 6, and lost by 17 away, Jamie Millman their only winner 10. They now play Bowring A in the Quarter Finals.
