MID SHROPSHIRE ANNUAL PRESENTATION DINNER
FRIDAY 14th NOVEMBER 2025 – at THE SHROPSHIRE, TF2 8PQ
doors open 6pm (6.30pm 2 course meal), with live entertainment – bar closes 12 midnight
PLEASE NOTE: THE VENUE IS CARD PAYMENT ONLY
COST – ADULTS £27; JUNIORS (up to 18) £13.50 – half size portions for under-12s
Due to the date of the dinner being brought forward to November, making the time the organise things very short, there are a number of vital changes for bowlers to be aware of.
AND THE KEY ONE IS THAT ALL PLACES MUST BE BOOKED VIA CLUBS! No requests for individual bookings will be considered.
Normally, as per league rules, all member clubs are allocated and charged for 2 places at the presentation. This year, clubs NOT requiring those places will NOT be charged for them – as long as they inform dinner organisers Malcolm & Marg Fletcher immediately. Clubs will be billed for places that are booked via their end of season account
These changes are because we are limited to 140 people, are anticipating renewed interest in the revamped event at a new venue and with live entertainment and we have to finalise numbers and menu choices a month in advance of it, ie 14th October – and also pay in full for it!
The plan is to hold a SPECIAL League meeting on the evening of Tuesday 23rd September for the return of ALL DINNER FORMS.
So that is the key date for bowlers to have made up their minds about attending and told their club secs!
Numbers will then be allocated and FINALISED in time for the October executive on Tuesday the 7th.
If the function is over subscribed, the clubs who follow these instructions and meet the deadlines will be looked on favourably.
And, if needed, a RESERVE LIST will be started and if any last minute places become available they will be allocated and charged separately for. All places requested and allocated are non refundable.
PLEASE NOTE the cost per head is NOT just for the 2 course meal on the night. There is the hire of the venue, the cost of their staff, heating and lighting, and also the fee for the live entertainment from the Harmony Sisters.
AND, with the encouraging number of young bowlers playing in the League this year, officers plan to hold a separate JUNIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT – with buffet and guests – as soon as possible after the season ends.
