Louise Cotton won the second ever Mid Shropshire Ladies Merit after beating Wrockwardine Wood team mate Sarah Weaver in the final 17. She led 7-3 early on before Sarah went 15-10 and 16-12 up. Louise found a mark diagonally over the crown to go 20-16 up and despite Sarah scoring one she got out next end.
In the Semi Finals Louise went 9-2 up on Viv Cooper and from 13-7 ahead and won 9. Sarah was only 14-10 up on Beth Reeves but went 17-10 ahead and won 14.

Sarah Weaver was only 8-4 up on Alison Cotton and won 5.
Beth Reeves was 9-4 and 18-6 up on Helen Clee and won 9.
Louise Cotton was 13-12 down to Gill Owens and ran out.
Viv Cooper was only 8-4 up on Lorraine Hancock and won 8.
