Final:
Shifnal C won the Ashton Shield for the first time by 29 over Sinclair C at Newport. They were never behind after Christopher Williams won 9, with two more winners meaning they led by 9 overall despite Mick Kinsey winning 15 for Sinclair. Although Graham Deakin getting 18 from 17-0 and 20-4 down, Paul Bissett won 5 to extend their lead to 23 off 8 and the game was won.
Well done to Shifnal C on their win, and to Graham for winning Player of the Match.

Semi Finals:
Sinclair C defeated Donnington Wood by 27 overall to reach their second consecutive Ashton Shield Final. They won by 30 at home, Christopher Pritchard best winner 6, and lost by 19 away, Cal Rhodes their only winner 9. They will take on Shifnal C in the final after they got past Sinclair’s D team by just 2 chalks. They won by 62 at home, Peter Urqhart, Robert Haddon and Alan Brannen all best winners 4. They won by 2 away, Shona Baugh best winner 11.
Quarter Finals:
Two of the Sinclair teams made it through to the Semi Finals, and both could meet in the final if they come through their respective finals.
Sinclair D overcame Shifnal D by 70 overall, winning by 20 at home, Elsie Pugh best winner 4, and by 34 away, Chloe Scane best winner 4. The C team beat Trench C by 25 overall, winning by 29 at home, Cal Rhodes best winner 8, and lost by 10 away, Ian Bates best winner 9. They will play Donnington Wood C after they got past Madeley CC C by 15 with all 10 winners. They won by 31 at home, Gary Gaut and Darrin Marsh best winners 11, and by 22 away, Paul Crossley best winner 13. The D team will take on Shifnal’s C team next, who beat Allscott Heath C by 31. They won by 28 at home, Shona Baugh best winner 2, and lost by 9 away, Alan Brannen best winner 7.

Madeley CC C are already through to the 1st round of the Ashton Shield after beating Newport E by 42 chalks. They won by 38 at home, best winner John Picken 3, and by 12 away, Ken Honnor best winner 11.
Donnington Wood C edged out Hadley by just 19 chalks overall to set up an Ashton Shield 1st round clash with Madeley CC C. They won by 31 at home, Natasha Hart best winner 8, and by 16 away, Kevin Emlyn best winner 9. Trench C defeated Horsehay C by 54, winning by 44 at home, Jayne Wood and Ken Bleasby best winners 4, and by 34 away, Shavorne Osborne best winner 4. Sinclair C beat St Georges C by 51 to reach the Quarter Finals of the Ashton Shield. They won by 56 at home, Don Hood winning 0 there, and by 23 away, Ryan Oare best winner 5.
