The Quarter Finals of the Ashton Cup & Shield take place this Wednesday.
Ashton Cup holders Newport D take on Shifnal C, with the winners taking on either the only Division Six left in, St Georges C, or Division Five highflyers Hadley USC C. Last season’s Ashton Shield Runners up Much Wenlock B take on Ashton Cup Runners up Allscott Heath C, with the winner of that game playing either of the Division Four teams Trench C or Wrockwardine Wood C.
Horsehay B are already through to the Semi Finals in the Ashton Shield after beating Madeley CC C by 83, winning by 42 at home and 46 away. They will meet the winner of Bowring C and Sinclair C. Bylet B are the only Division Six side left in the Shield, and play Sir John Bayley C of Division Four. The other tie is an all Division Five clash between Charlton B and Donnington Wood D.
All players must have played four Mid Shropshire League games to be eligible.
