What a weekend it’s going to be for Wrockwardine Wood!
The League club with the green voted the best in Shropshire this year stages no less than 3 huge promotions – starting on Friday 2nd October.
That’s when Mid Shropshire champions for the 2nd year in a row, Sinclair, take on Bylet in the Premier League play-off final on the award-winning No.1 surface, with a place in the top 12-a-side league in 2027 at stake.
Then on Saturday Wood will claim another first as hosts, this time both greens being used as the scene of the League’s first Champion of Champions from 10am – see Individual Comps for full details of the 43-strong line-up.
Some 23 hours later sees Bandit Bowls roll into town for the first round of its winter series with two sessions of 13-up round robin group games.
It’s clearly going to be a busy weekend for Wrockites secretary Louise Cotton and the club’s members – and Louise will also be playing the Champions singles as winner of the Mid Shropshire Ladies Merit!
