The 8 players in the finals of the Thursday Night Merit next Thursday have been decided.
At Donnington Wood, Stuart Church had to overcome his own son Logan 21-14 to qualify, Logan having earlier beaten Pete Millington 18. Jackie Rutter beat Sonya Lucas 10, Josh Cotton defeated Chris Dodds 14 and Carleen Doody-Millington had a good 21-10 victory over Nick Davies.

On Trench and it was the Sir John Bayley trio who got through. Pete Grimston got past Mick Furness 13, Stuart Rutter defeated Owen Shedden 15 and Michael Cooper beat Pauline Wilson 10. John Lea was the other qualifier, getting past Chris Newbrook 8.
