League leaders Sinclair are wished the best of luck on Saturday 2nd August as they try to keep the Shropshire Cup in Mid Shropshire land.
The division 1 pacesetters, led by this year’s Senior Merit winner Harry Church, take on Woore in the final at Telepost BC in Shrewsbury (6.30pm start).
Sinclair are without four-time County Merit winner Peter Farmer for the 10-a-side showdown with last season’s double North Shropshire champions.
They failed in their bid to reach the Premier League last October when beaten in the play-off final by Horsehay at Bicton – the same venue where Hadley USC won the Shropshire Cup earlier in the 2024 season!
And the rules of the Shropshire Cup mean Woore cannot play their two county senior team regulars, Andy Moss and Martin Lloyd.
But they still boast the likes of the multi-titled Derek Wright, past County Handicap winner Paul Smith and former county team man Gary Beff in their linje-up so it won’t be easy for Sinclair.
PICTURED is Harry Church with the Mid Shropshire Senior Merit trophy at Edgmond in May – now the question is can he get his hands on more silverware on Saturday?
