There is a repeat of last year’s Ashton Cup Final in the Quarter Finals of this year’s competition. Wrockwardine Wood ended Newport’s reign last September, and will try to repeat that result while Newport will look to get revenge! Bowring D take on recent runners up Horsehay C with just 8 chalks separating the two. Allscott Heath E have the largest handicap of the teams left in and will look to use that against Charlton B. The other Quarter Final sees recent Ashton Shield runners up Much Wenlock try to overcome a 40 point deficit against Edgmond C.

The Ashton Shield Quarter Finals sees some close ties in the handicaps with Trench C and Sinclair C separated by just 6 chalks, Sinclair the runners up in this last season. Shifnal D and Sinclair D have large handicaps but there is only 16 between them, while Allscott Heath C, runners up in Division 4 last season, play Shifnal C with just 12 chalks in it. Madeley CC C will look to use their 38 chalk handicap against Donnington Wood C, former recent Ashton Shield winners.
