March Executive Meeting Update

Please find a summary of the March Executive Meeting on Tuesday:

  • New Chairman Chris Hayward took the meeting for the first time.
  • The Friday Divisions are currently 13-12-12 but this may change due to one or two teams possibly withdrawing. Bowring C and Sir John Bayley C have entered new teams but Worfield have withdrawn and Horsehay A re-entering after relegation from the Premier League.
  • The Friday leagues with 12 teams will start on Friday 17th April and finish on Friday 18th September.
  • There are now four Monday Divisions with a structure of 10-10-9-9 as 12 clubs voted for and 6 for three divisions. Highley have withdrawn and Sinclair D have applied. These will start on Monday 13th April and finish on Monday 28th September.
  • There are 13 teams in the Dennis Lewis League. This starts on Thursday 2nd April and finishes Thursday 24th September.
  • There are 11 teams in the Thursday Afternoon league. This will start on Thursday 2nd April and finish on Thursday 24th September.
  • There are 7 teams in the Saturday Division, starting on Saturday 25th April and finishing on Saturday 15th August.
  • Clubs can call their teams something other than A and B etc. if they let John Palmer know by Tuesday 10th March.
  • Clubs are asked to let Malcolm Fletcher know by Monday 16th March if they have made any changes to their constitution or development plan.
  • The deposit has been paid for the Presentation Dinner on Saturday 21st November.
  • There will be an officer’s meeting on Monday 16th March, when a date for the Club Captain’s and Official’s Meeting will be set before the start of the season.
