For the second successive Saturday, today (12th September) is another action-packed big day for the League.
The Junior Handicap is at Bridgnorth from 10am and play will be followed by the presentation of under-18 honours for the 2026 season and food.
Then this evening the spotlight turns to Bowring as hosts of the finals of the Harris Cup and Harris Shield.
The Harris Shield for MSBL teams sees Trench A, having staved off relegation from division 1, go head to head with a Wrockwardine Wood B side that looks set to join them in the top flight in 2027.
A lot of the Wrockites line-up have already tasted success in the last weekend’s Ashton Cup final and so spy double delight from 6.30pm.
Castlefields were three-time winners of the historicHarris Cup for 4 seasons from 1997 and, being champions of the Premier League and British Super Cup winners, more glory is the goal at 7pm on the Wellington club’s older green.
But tonight’s final rivals Wem USC have made their mark on the competition of late, being semi-finalist for the last 2 years and so will be anxious for a first time success.
