School’s Out!

A new junior bowling course for the school summer holidays is being launched by another Mid Shropshire club.

Edgmond, who boast the green voted best in the county for the last two years, are following the example set by Bridgnorth.

“We are pleased to invite pupils aged 8 and over to join our Junior Summer Crown Green Bowling Course,” said Sarah Glenholmes on behalf of the village club.

“The sessions will be run by qualified coaches and all helpers are DBS-checked, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for every participant.”

They will be held on Fridays, July 31 and August 7-14-21-28 from 10am to 12 noon and the cost for the five weeks is £15, which includes snacks and a certificate.

“We hope pupils and parents are interested but spaces are limited – for more information or to book contact me (email sjg631@outlook.com) or call 07792-428685,” she added.

Meanwhile, the club’s Richard Chesters Memorial Day in aid of Prostrate Cancer Awareness raised £420 for the charity, the winner of the singles knockout after 27 entered being Rees Jones, thanks to a 21-9 card against John Lea.

“It was a fantastic day and we ware immensely proud of all our members and friends of the club for their continued support,” added Sarah.
