The League under-18 bowlers and selectors were celebrating again on Sunday 14th June after winning the Shropshire junior inter-league championship for the 4th year in a row.
The A team came out on top of 6 teams that contested the 6-a-side title on the two greens at Wem BC, despite suffering a late player withdrawal the day before.
Victory by just 3 shots over Tanners Shropshire A was the vital result in the team’s final round robin game before they defeated the Tanners B side in a final spread over both greens.
Long serving selector, League life member and past County President Brenda Slingo was delighted – as was new selector Spencer Clarke, both paying tribute to the bowlers for their efforts on a hot sunny day.
