Final 12th September
Report:
Final:
Castlefields won the Harris Cup for the fourth time after a comfortable win over Wem USC in the final by 15 shots.
They started well with 3 winners in the front led by Andy Armstrong winning 7 in the corners to lead by 20 overall. In the middle and Wem threatened to pull some of those shots back as Phil Jones led Sally King 16-9 and Curtis Metcalfe was level with Callum Wraight and Louis Dean led Steve Duckett. But Adam Jones won 12, then Callum Wraight ran out in the corners to win 12 and Sally King played very well on the longer lengths to win 18 and the Player of the Match. Louis Dean did win 14 for Wem but they were 35 down and Castlefields only needed the back two to pick up 7 between them which they did comfortably despite Luke Boniface winning 7 and Colin Smith 15 for Wem.
Well done to Castlefields on their success.
Thank you to the Bowring for hosting.
