Titles Galore!

The champions in a number of the League’s divisions are fast emerging as the nights draw in and the 2026 season comes to the business end.

So it’s time to salute Sinclair A who have retained the first division championship, Shifnal B for running away with the third division title and Shifnal’s A side in the Saturday Division.

Harry Church’s Sinclair team got the points they needed to be mathematically certain in a 10-0 home romp against Wrockwardine Wood in a re-arranged fixture, completing a treble after winning the Mayhew Trophy and Shropshire Cup.

Sinclair’s B side are also part of a thrilling promotion race in division 2, a title-chase that is mirrored in all 4 of the Monday divisions and in the Dennis Lewis Thursday Division.

But three honours winners were confirmed at the weekend, starting with 13-year-old Jamie Pritchard of Horsehay (PICTURED) winning the League Handicap for his first ever individual title .

And later on the same Saturday and also at Newport, Wrockwardine Wood C overcame a 70 shot handicap to win a nerve-wracking Ashton Cup final against plucky Allscott Heath E while Shifnal C eased past Sinclair C on the no.2 green to land the Ashton Shield.

Congratulations one and all!
