League clubs are flat out hosting big events . . . and that trend continues tonight – Tuesday 18th August – at Edgmond.
The village club hosts the D & M Morrey cup final between Bowring A and St Georges at 7pm.
That is a Shropshire Ladies association run team knockout – and it was the same body that turned to Sinclair to stage their British Ladies county championship semi-final against North Midlands on Sunday.
That resulted in a 121 chalk home whitewash that included a win for Lisa Wilson on the occasion of playing her 100th county match – and she is PICTURED receiving a special presentation from association president Pauline Wilson.
The day before that, the grass green at Allscott Heath was used for the ladies’ County Mixed Doubles – won by Emma Duncan and Nathan Lacey of Shifnal – while Bowring was the venue for the SCGBA’s Beginners Merit won by Matt Parton, beating his partner and SJB colleague Lorraine Hanock.
They are all doing Mid Shropshire bowls proud!
