It’s another huge night in the League’s main divisions tomorrow – Friday 31st July.
The top 2 in the first and second divisions meet in fixtures that could well have a big bearing on the final outcome come the last night of the 2026 season on 18th September.
Sinclair, first time Mid Shropshire champions last year, make the short trip to take on second in the division 1 table Bowring A with a 19 point lead to defend.
Harry Church’s side won the reverse clash on their Ketley green 9-4 in May, but Bowring – getting ready to host Shropshire’s British senior county championship semi-final clash with Warwick & Worcester on Sunday – will hope for a big win under the guidance of non-playing captain, former League chairman Sean Round.
Recent champions Shifnal and Newport are poised ready to overtake Bowring in the run-in to claim the second biggest prize.
It’s the same scenario in division 2 with leaders Wrockwardine Wood B heading up to second placed Horsehay B, who have an 8 point gap to bridge.
Third in the table Sinclair B can’t be ruled out of the title race but they face a tough test at home to a St Georges A team plotting an immediate return to the top flight.
Shifnal B, already looking red hot favourites to be champions of division 3, travel to take on Sir John Bayley C.
