The Monday Night Merit Qualifiers are tonight with a record 65 players looking for the 16 qualifying spaces available on Finals night on Saturday 19th July.
Last year’s winner Mick Jones will look to retain the trophy at Stockton, where four of our Juniors play in Myles Smith, Jamie Pritchard, Harris Needham and Ellis Reeves. Leila and Stuart James are there too, both having qualified in one of the last two years.
Steve Watkins was a Semi Finalist last year, and is at Broseley, along with 2023 finalist Steve Hendy and last year’s Quarter Finalist Mick Furness.
Trish Bradburn will look to follow in her husband Roy’s footsteps as she plays at Shifnal, Roy having won the Senior and Over 60s Merit. Emily Redden is another junior taking part, while John Roberts Snr has plenty of Division One experience to use.
On Wrockwardine Wood new green is 2023 Under 25 Merit finalist Lucy Hireson takes part, as well as Martin Beddow, who has played a few Premier League games for Highley over the last few years. Stefan Whitehouse qualified last year, and so did Des Conneely.

There are four qualifiers from each green, with Wrockwardine Wood having 17 there and the others 16.
There is no dress code.
The scratch time is 6.30 p.m.
The finals day draw will take place at the July Executive Meeting on 1st July.
