They won by just 5 chalks, winning by 24 at home, four players winning 21-14, and losing by just 5 away, best winner there being Gary Gaut 8. The team they beat in the final, Much Wenlock B, defeated St Georges D by 79 shots with all 10 winners. Best winner at home was Peter Iles 21-1 and away was Steve Preece 8. Sir John Bayley D shocked Trench C by 14 chalks as they won by 7 at home, Alan Hayes best winner 11, and by 2 away, best winner there being Thomas Clarke 12.
