Three sets of rule change proposals and an issue that is a growing concern for all major leagues in Shropshire will be discussed at the December management meeting on Tuesday the 3rd.
Delegates will be able to dissect the proposals – after first debating the future of the annual presentation dinner.
Like all other leading leagues in the county, Mid Shropshire’s prize-giving function has seen the numbers attending fall away since the pandemic, to the point where officers are wondering if it is worth continuing in its traditional format.
The 2024 title winners WILL be honoured in the usual way at a presentation dinner on Saturday, January 25, at the West Stand @ TUFC in Wellington – but it might well be the last one.
Three nights later, on January 28, it is the league’s AGM when proposals from 3 clubs – Sinclair, Charlton and Trench – will be voted on, if they get a seconder on Tuesday.
That management meeting is the last chance saloon time for bowlers who want to attend the presentation evening. A they have to do to book a place in January, at a cost of £30, is to contact their club secretaries and they will do the rest.
